"We had a wonderful week at L’Eyssalle in July, loving the beautiful house, pool and outside living space. It is so perfectly located, close to Bergerac airport but yet very quiet and private. The kitchen and bathrooms have just been modernised to a high standard and the accommodation was perfect for our large group, being both comfortable and spacious. We so enjoyed exploring the local area and spent a fun day kayaking 22km of the Dordogne. We would highly recommend this property and indeed hope that we can return in the

"We had a brilliant time at L’Eyssalle - something for everyone to do and loads of space. The one night of horrendous weather was incredible - we have never seen a thunderstorm like that ... and we had been telling ghost stories that evening ! Otherwise the weather was perfect therefore lying in the sun and messing around in the pool was the order of the day, interspersed with tennis, boules, table tennis and of course eating and drinking ! So back to reality ..... "

“The setting of this home couldn’t have been better – so peaceful and relaxing. The views of the stars at night were amazing – the darkness and no street lights allowed for some wonderful pictures of the night sky.
The weather this week was perfect (30-35 degrees C). This was my first holiday like this, unlike the other 7 of us, and your house has been the perfect setting for it.
We took staying here as an opportunity to try out our first Michelin Star restaurant ‘La Tour des Vents’ only 10 minutes down the road and the food was stupendous – views breath-taking over Bergerac as the sun set.

“It would be hard not to relax in the lovely house. The weather wasn’t perfect but everything else was! We even managed a nightly catch up of the Olympics through a (dubious!) I player connection. Our haul of medals has made the week even more memorable! (Olympic fever seems rather muted in France…).
Our hosts, once again, proved to be the very best family to holiday with!”

"The house is very easy to reach from Bergerac Airport. We picked up our rental cars at the airport, and were at the house in less than an hour.The house is spacious and comfortable - meticulously cleaned and maintained. The property is maintained by Mark and Adele who live locally. The swimming pool is well managed, clean and extremely secure (a relief to us as we had three under fives in our party. We enjoyed various games on the lawns, and tennis several evenings when the sun was a bit less fierce. Altogether it was a most enjoyable week, and one that we would love to repeat at some point in the future. We recommend L'Eyssalle without any reservation to any who are fortunate enough to be able to go and stay there."

"L'Eyssalle is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The house is very large but has a comforting, homely feel with big open fireplaces. Everything about it is home from home, yet at the same time it oozes glamorous charm. The swimming pool is perfect, with plenty of sun loungers and a shaded area. The playroom is stacked full of games: ping pong, tennis rackets, volleyball etc so the children were easily occupied. There is so much to do at the house for both adults and children we rarely ventured out - but there is lots to do in the area. We canoed, went to Issigeac market which is excellent and pottered round chateaus and medieval towns. We went with our whole family and I would recommend it to anyone!"

" My extended family and I have been to L'Eyssalle regularly for the past six years. We love the house for its comfort and its extensive, and very beautiful surroundings. So much to see in the Bergerac area, but with the pool, tennis court etc. we tend to spend much of our time at L'Eyssalle. Its proximity to the airport is a huge bonus. We can't wait for our next dinner underneath the vines, watching the sun go down!
